Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The first program of this week's "Construction Dialogue" of the Tabyan Center for Social and Cultural Activities of Afghanistan was held yesterday, Sunday in the presence of a number of political and religious experts.
The speakers at the meeting reviewed the three and a half decades of activities of the Tebyan Center in the cultural, social, intellectual, political and media fields and emphasized the need to strengthen the programs of this institution to increase its impact in society.
Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Sayed Hayatullah Alemi, Deputy of the High Commission of the Shiites of Afghanistan and an analyst of political and religious issues, said that safeguarding the spiritual values of society requires the continuous activity of cultural and social institutions.
Stating that culture constitutes the set of spiritual values of a society, he stated that one of the major plans of the enemies is to distance the younger generation from religious and spiritual values; therefore, cultural institutions should place the younger generation at the center of their activities.
Alemi added that the Tebyan Center has also tried to establish contact with the younger generation over the past years and attract them to cultural and intellectual programs.
According to him, activities in the cultural and value fields have always been accompanied by challenges, and the Tebyan Center has also faced serious obstacles and pressures in this direction; to the extent that a number of the center's young forces have lost their lives.
He considered this a sign of the effectiveness of Tebyan's activities and said that given the capacity of Afghan society, the center can attract more young people by strengthening its programs and play a more effective role in protecting and strengthening the spiritual values of society.
Alemi also said that in the past decades, the confrontation between value-oriented and anti-value currents had become a kind of soft war, and although this confrontation sometimes led to violence, it provided an opportunity to present ideas and clarify public opinion.
He added that if the current situation of Afghan society is compared to the past two decades, the level of public awareness and awareness has increased, and the Tebyan Center has also played a significant role in this process.
He considered the Tebyan Center an institution with a clear policy and a thought, and emphasized that this center has always operated based on its thought and goals, and its distinguishing feature compared to other institutions is its sacrifice.
The Deputy of the High Commission of Shiites also emphasized that this very feature of presenting martyrs in the path of its goals has made it respected and should be viewed with respect!
Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Rajab Ali Rashid, an expert on religious issues, also referred to the history of the presence of scholars in the Tebyan Center, saying that the programs of this institution have been organized and coherent since its establishment, and its activities have not been limited to the cultural and social spheres, but have also played a role in political issues.
He stated that Tebyan has been the voice of the people in critical situations and has raised the needs and demands of the people in its meetings with past rulers.
Rashid considered Tebyan's cultural and social activities in line with the "Greater Jihad" and added that the past services of this institution are commendable and should be strengthened in the future.
He called on various individuals and institutions to support the activities of the Tebyan Center and cooperate with this institution according to their ability and capacity.
According to him, one of the important features of Tebyan's activities is its special method of raising awareness, and this center has been able to provide a basis for convergence between the university and the seminary, scholars, elites, and different segments of society, especially the youth.
Seyyed Abdullah Hashemi, an expert on political issues, also described cultural and intellectual activities as the foundation of the dynamism, awakening, and direction of a society.
He said that many major social and political developments have originated from the intellectual and cultural activities of militant personalities and movements.
Hashemi added that the enemies were trying to distance the youth from the path of religion and religious values and create a distance between the scholars and the younger generation; but according to him, the Tebyan Center has moved in the opposite direction of this approach.
He mentioned the promotion of the culture of supporting Quds and defending the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza as one of the important axes of Tebyan's activities, and highlighted the role of the leadership of this center (Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Sayyid Isa Hosseini Mazari) in this regard.
Then, Sayyid Mudassar Fazelpour, head of the Tebyan Center's central office in Kabul, explained some of the activities of this organization and said that "Jihad Tabi'in" was one of the main axes of Tebyan's activities.
He added that the media activity of this center began with the publication of a periodical, then it spread to a monthly, weekly, and then to the "Insaf" newspaper, and finally the Afghan Voice News Agency (AVA) was formed from this path.
Fazelpour said that the Afghan Voice News Agency (AVA) has covered many important and less discussed issues in Afghanistan in the Jihad Tabi'in section over the past years, and this process is still ongoing.
The head of the Tebyan Central Office in Kabul, in the educational activities section of the center, also stated that the center has provided education for more than 80,000 students over the past three decades and currently provides education for about 500 to 1,000 students in the Islamic Republic of Iran each semester.
He also mentioned the social activities of the Tebyan Center, including cooperation with immigrants in the Islamic Republic of Iran and other service programs inside Afghanistan.
Fazelpour considered one of the factors that led to the continuation of the Tebyan Center’s activities over the past 35 years to be the institution’s simultaneous attention to the material and spiritual issues of society, and recommended that more efforts be made to strengthen both dimensions of Tebyan’s activities.
At the same time, he emphasized maintaining the popular aspect of the center and paying more attention to improving the economic situation of the people.
The experts present at the meeting emphasized that, given the current conditions of Afghan society, strengthening cultural and intellectual activities, paying special attention to the younger generation, creating greater connections between the field and the university, expanding social activities, and maintaining a grassroots approach can provide the basis for greater impact of the Tebyan Center in the coming years.
