Iran has informed the European Union that it will begin unlimited nuclear research and development work from Friday, officially unleashing the third stage of its measured responses to Europe's lack of action in the face of America's violation of the 2015 nuclear deal.

The European Union’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini has once again expressed the 28-nation bloc’s disapproval of the Israeli regime’s claim of “sovereignty” to Syria’s Golan Heights and other Tel Aviv-occupied territories.

Federica Mogherini, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of European Commission, met with Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in the margins of the Munich Security Conference.

EU member states are consulting on a joint reaction to the latest developments in Venezuela, a statement from French president’s office said Wednesday.

The EU fully supports the Venezuela's national assembly as the democratically elected institution whose powers need to be restored and respected, the EU’s foreign minister said Wednesday.

The EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy said Tuesday the bloc will not build a European army.

The Iranian foreign minister announced Friday that the central banks of certain European countries had agreed to form special financial channels to ease trade with Iran.
