US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday that Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas was committed to reforming the Palestinian Authority in a way that could “reunite” Gaza and the occupied West Bank under its leadership.

In a meeting with the British Foreign Minister, the head of the Palestinian Authority emphasized that Gaza is an integral part of the Palestinian state.

“It is a war against the existence of the Palestinians, against the Palestinian national identity, the identity of the land and the identity of its inhabitants.” the president said.
