Ashgabat and Islamabad have agreed to speed up work on the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said that, the gas distribution plans of the TAPI project for Herat industrial parks has been prepared.

A joint Turkmen-Afghan seminar is taking place in Mary city (eastern Turkmenistan) with the assistance of the OSCE, media reports Feb. 11 with reference to the Turkmen foreign ministry.

The delegation of Foreign Ministry Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov visited Afghanistan on Feb 2.
