Amazon launched the first test satellites for its planned internet service on Friday as a rival to SpaceX’s broadband network.

State media KCNA reported that, North Korea will launch its first military reconnaissance satellite in June for monitoring U.S. military activities.

Earlier in September, Iran reported an explosion in its space center before a satellite launch, the third failure involving a rocket in a year.

Iran's Foreign Ministry has strongly countered claims ascribing military aspects to the country's ongoing satellite projects.
