Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Based on the reports published in the media and social networks, a number of Afghan refugees in the city of Batam, Indonesia, who had demonstrated in front of the city's municipal building in order to speed up the process of their resettlement, were, according to them, by an irresponsible group called LSM were beaten.
The asylum seekers say that they live there under a tripartite agreement between Australia, the United Nations and Indonesia, and that the Indonesian government and police are responsible for their safety.
 
These asylum seekers have complained about the treatment of Batam city authorities and police and have said that they have not enjoyed any basic human rights during the past ten years.
 
It should be mentioned that during the insecurity and economic problems of the country in the last decade, many citizens were forced to migrate, one of the countries where many Afghans sought refuge in the dream of going to developed countries is Indonesia.
 
 Afghan refugees in Indonesia have protested many times against their deplorable situation in this country and their transfer to a third country, but no change in their fate has been observed yet.
