Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Eight hours after the release of three Israeli female prisoners by Hamas, the Zionist regime finally released the first group of Palestinians amid the joy of the Palestinians and the anger of the settlers.

Several buses that had entered the Ofer prison an hour ago finally left the prison in the presence of representatives of the Red Cross.

The Zionist Prisons Organization announced the release of 90 Palestinian prisoners at this stage.

According to Palestinian sources, the sabotage of the Israeli Prisons Organization was the reason for the delay in the release of the prisoners. The Hamas office for prisoners' affairs announced that the process of checking and verifying the names of the prisoners was carried out inside the Ofer prison and it was determined that one of the female prisoners was not on the list, and for this reason, intermediaries and the Red Cross were contacted, and it was emphasized that the Israeli regime must be obliged to release all prisoners whose names are on the list.

The released prisoners include 69 women and 21 children and adolescents, 76 of whom are from the West Bank and 14 from East Jerusalem.

According to this list, all of the released female prisoners are from the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The names of several Palestinian female journalists and activists were also seen among those released.

Among the most prominent female prisoners released are Khaleda Jarrar, a leader of the Popular Front, and Abla Saadat, the wife of Ahmed Saadat, the Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Among the prisoners are two sisters of Saleh al-Arouri, former deputy head of the political bureau of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas.

However, in contrast, the security forces, army and police of the occupation regime, which had prevented the families of prisoners from gathering near the Ofer prison, are now preventing Palestinians from celebrating in the streets in some areas.

Following this incident, some families of the released prisoners have been forced to bring their celebrations and joy inside their homes.

The Palestinian news agency Ma’an reported that the prisoners from occupied Jerusalem arrived home while the Israeli security forces did not allow any gatherings or celebrations in the streets. The families of the released prisoners were also forced to sign a commitment according to which they do not have the right to celebrate or rejoice outside their homes.

Israeli security forces have also been deployed around the homes of the released prisoners in occupied Jerusalem and are not allowing anyone to enter the prisoners’ homes.

The Ma’a news agency wrote that the occupying forces also threatened some families of the released prisoners in the West Bank not to celebrate the release of their sons and not to show any signs of joy; however, despite these threats, residents of some cities, including Ramallah and the village of “Bethonia,” took to the streets and enthusiastically welcomed the prisoners.

In this regard, the village of “Bethonia,” near Ramallah, is witnessing street celebrations and a widespread welcome for the Palestinian prisoners, despite the Zionists’ efforts to prevent the celebration and joy. This village was attacked by Zionist settlers an hour ago.

According to the ceasefire agreement announced in Doha on Wednesday last week, Israel will release about 2,000 Palestinian prisoners in the first step, including 250 sentenced to life imprisonment. Of the released Palestinian prisoners, about 1,000 have been arrested since October 7.
