The spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Police Force Command announced a large-scale and complex operation by the Tehran Police’s Counter-Terrorism Unit, which led to the identification and complete destruction of a terrorist network affiliated with ISIS in Tehran and several other provinces. In this operation, 13 members of the network, including the leader, suicide bombers and support teams, were arrested.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Sardar Saeed Montazer-al-Mahdi, spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Police Force Command (Faraja), announced this morning, Wednesday (June 4), the destruction of a terrorist network affiliated with the ISIS group that was planning to carry out suicide operations and bombings at a recent ceremony.
According to Tasnim, this complex operation was carried out by the Faraja Counter-Terrorism Unit in cooperation with the police forces of Greater Tehran, Isfahan, Qom and Alborz provinces over the past few days, and all members of the network were trapped.
Montazer al-Mahdi added: “During this precise and coordinated operation, 13 members of the network, including the group’s leader, guidance and support teams, and suicide bombers, were arrested along with terrorist equipment and tools, including explosive vests and packages.”
 
The Iranian police spokesman also announced: “More details about this successful operation and the dimensions of the terrorist activities of the arrested group will be made public in the coming days.”
