In one of the latest airstrikes by the Zionist regime on Palestinian aid workers, the headquarters of the Palestine Red Crescent Society in the Gaza Strip was attacked.
Afghan Voice News Agency (AVA) - International Service: Palestinian sources reported this morning (Sunday, August 3) that the headquarters, located in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, was targeted by the Zionist regime's airstrike.
The organization issued a statement confirming the Israeli attack and announcing that one of its employees was martyred and three others were seriously injured as a result of a bomb strike.
The statement noted that the fire first engulfed the first floor of the headquarters of the Red Crescent Society and then the flames spread to the upper floors.
Images released by the Gaza Red Crescent show a scene of a burning building.
Similar attacks against Palestinian aid workers have occurred before. On March 23, 2025, in a similar attack in Rafah, at least eight Red Crescent aid workers were killed in the line of duty, and their bodies were found in a mass grave a few days later.
The Israeli military initially claimed that the men were “terrorists,” but leaked images showed that they were in ambulances with illuminated LED lights and were directly hit.
The United Nations has confirmed that the number of aid workers, rescue workers, and humanitarian workers killed since the incident has increased.
In recent days, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached its peak, with international organizations warning that more than 60,000 Palestinians have been killed, many of them while trying to receive food aid.
