When you sit at the heartache of these pilgrims, you hear common messages: the need for Muslim unity, the meaninglessness of color, language and race, and support for the oppressed of the world; from Palestine and Gaza to all those who face oppression and war.
Amidst every smile, every tear and every step, a bright hope is seen: the expectation of the savior of the world of humanity, the cry of the oppressed of the world. This expectation is evident in the eyes and words of every Arbaeen pilgrim, transforming the Najaf-Karbala route into a living symbol of solidarity, love, and faith. Meanwhile, pilgrims from Afghanistan and Pakistan were more emptier than ever on this route; despite some strictures and obstacles, they were once again unable to arrive on time.
