A gas tanker exploded on a highway southeast of Mexico City, killing 3 people and injuring about 70 others.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to Reuters, Mexican authorities announced that a gas tanker overturned, caught fire and exploded on a highway southeast of Mexico City.

The incident killed at least 3 people and injured 70.

The massive explosion and fire engulfed several vehicles near the border between the Iztapalapa district of the capital and Chalco in neighboring Mexico state.

Drone footage shows firefighters battling the flames and cooling the charred remains of the tanker and surrounding vehicles.
