Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: On Tuesday, March 8, the American Zionist enemy attacked the Rafi-Nia Jewish Synagogue in Tehran and destroyed parts of this historic religious site. Just a few hours later, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, arrived at the scene and spoke with Jewish Iranians who had gathered around the synagogue.
Salehi wrote on his social media the same day: “American-Zionist warmongers have targeted religious temples and Iran’s civilizational heritage. For them, Muslims, Christians, and Jews are irrelevant. They have targeted Iranians, but Iran will remain and they will leave.”
40-Day Resistance Against the Scenario of Social Collapse
Today, Wednesday, March 19, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, while visiting the Church of St. Sarkis in Tehran, referred to the history of the Iranian nation’s resistance and stated: “During the era of the Sacred Defense, the Baath regime thought it would overthrow the system in less than a week, but not only did it not stay, but it did not even leave an inch of Iranian soil. In the 12-Day War, the enemies repeated the same mistake. This time, by targeting the leader and commanders, they wanted to collapse the social body and had pinned their hopes on the events of January (Serious), but they did not achieve any results.”
He added: “The forty days of resistance of the people, the armed forces, and all segments of the country, according to the American officials themselves, were remarkable. They thought that the work would be finished in the first three days, but forty days have passed and today they are desperate. The Iranian nation, despite mourning the loss of its spiritual and political father, turned this grief into a public epic.”
Global echo of Iran’s oppression in 70 countries around the world
On Tuesday evening, Salehi, referring to the efforts of cultural diplomacy, said at a public gathering in Ferdowsi Square in Tehran: “Our cultural consultations in 70 countries around the world were related to different groups, and in the last 30 to 40 days, important events have occurred in different cities around the world in support of the Iranian people. Today, the voice of Iran’s oppression has received a greater global echo, and this path is hopeful.”
In another part of his speech, the Iranian Minister of Culture emphasized the role of art in the narrative of the recent national epic, saying: “The recent 40-day epic is a heavy narrative that can remain for the history of Iran and the world. "Art has the power to make this narrative attractive, enduring, and pass it on to different generations. Fortunately, numerous screenplays have been written and artists in the fields of music, theater, visual arts, and cinema are busy producing, and just like during the Holy Defense, they will fulfill their religion to the people."
