In the report, OCHA said in 11 to 15 August the floods covered the eastern, southern, southeastern, and central provinces of the country. 17 people were injured in Kapisa, Logar, and Parwan, and about 790 houses were damaged or completely destroyed in Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, and Parwan. According to OCHA, a total of 3,720 families have been affected by the floods of the last few days, of which 2,400 families are residents of Nangarhar. After Nangarhar, Paktia with 450 families, Logar with 250 families, Maidan Wardak with 190 families, Khost with 150 families, Laghman with 128 families, and Paktika with 100 families are the provinces that have suffered the most damage from these recent floods. Kunar and Kapisa suffered less damage than other provinces, according to the organization, 50 and 10 families have been affected in these two provinces, respectively. OCHA said that in addition to the loss of lives and the destruction of houses, the recent floods have also caused the destruction of agricultural products, fields, and infrastructure, and since June, emergency aid has been provided to 55 thousand of people who have been affected by heavy rains and floods across the country.
