Text : Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The World Health Organization has announced today, Tuesday (August 9), that several diseases including cholera, severe diarrhea, measles, and Congo fever have spread following recent events such as floods and earthquakes. Many of these diseases are reported from different parts of Afghanistan every day.   The organization has said that a significant wave of acute diarrhea (AWD) cases has been observed across Afghanistan, and although measles cases had decreased in some areas, recently, cases are being reported from all provinces.   Congolese fever (CCHF) deaths have also been reported from 13 provinces and so far 6 people have lost their lives due to this disease.   The World Health Organization has also mentioned in a part of its report the recent rain and flood in the country and said that the flood in Afghanistan has caused a lot of financial damage to the residents of different regions of Afghanistan and has destroyed many residential houses.   The organization has said it will continue to mobilize resources and increase capacity to respond to disease outbreaks, health emergencies and natural disasters.   Meanwhile, many medical centers in Afghanistan have been closed due to economic problems and cut off of foreign aid, making it difficult for people to access health centers.
