Eight members of Afghan police have been killed after militants attacked checkpoints overnight in western Farah province, an official said Tuesday.

AVA- The attacks targeted several checkpoints in Shamalgah and Farahrod areas of Bala Bluk district, the provincial governor’s spokesman said.
Naser Mehri detailed that three police were killed in Shamalgah area while five others died in Farahrod.
He said that the attacks were carried out by the Taliban who also lost 15 of its fighters.
