Police have detained four alleged drug smugglers including a woman separately in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday.

AVA- Police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal said police raided the house of an alleged drugs’ dealer Parwaiz in Najaran street of Jalalabad, the provincial capital, and recovered 48 bottles of alcoholic drinks from his house.
He said Parwaiz was detained and he was currently under investigation.
Separately, police detained three individuals, including a woman, from a car in Daronta area of Surkhrod district, according to Mashriqiwal.
He said the detainees had skillfully hidden 83 kilograms of hashish was in their vehicle and wanted to transfer the drugs to elsewhere in Nangarhar.
The police spokesman said the four detainees had confessed to their crimes and were now being interrogated.
Nangarhar counternarcotics director Mohammad Idrees Safi said security forces eradicated poppy crops on 260 acres of land in Ghanikehl and on 60 acres in Surkhrod districts during the ongoing campaign.
