A young Afghan man attempted suicide after killing the girl he loved in the center of Bamyan province of Afghanistan, it has been reported.

Ibrahim Hamta, killed his love sabira Saba in Dasht-e Esa area located in the provincial capital of Bamyan on Monday afternoon
According to reports, Hamta used a small firearm and late attempted to commit suicide but survived and is currently undergoing treatment in the provincial hospital of Bamyan.
The circumstances surrounding the murder and attempted suicide are not clear so far.
However, Hamta had posted a statement on his Facebook earlier and had sought apology from his family and friends for the brutal act he was about undertake.
Safoora Elkhani, a former member of the provincial council of Bamyan confirmed the incident and said Hamta was a close relative of Sabira.
Elkhani further added that Saba did not love Hamta, which could apparently be one of the reasons behind the brutal murder and attempted suicide.
