Meeting of the President of Iran with the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army
Ayatollah Dr. Seyed Ibrahim Raisi, President of Iran, in a meeting with Nadim Reza, Chairman of the Joint Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the Pakistan Army, while emphasizing the establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan, said that the 20-year NATO presence in the country has brought nothing but destruction.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), the office of the President of Iran announced that the meeting took place on Tuesday (June 28) at the Presidential Palace in Tehran.
 
According to the statement, Hojjat ul-Islam Raisi said that two decades of US military presence and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Afghanistan had brought nothing but bloodshed and destruction to the country.
 
"It is essential that the Taliban establish a broad-based government in Afghanistan, in which all ethnic groups participate, to bring peace and development to the country," Raisi added.
