Pakistan increased the customs tax on coal imported from Afghanistan
According to Pakistani sources, the General Directorate of Customs Valuation in Karachi has increased the customs tax for coal imported from Afghanistan from $83 to $140.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Customs Department of Pakistan said today, Sunday (August 21) that these coal valuation recommendations were issued by the General Directorate of Customs Valuation in Karachi.
 
Before this, the customs tariff for each metric ton of Afghan coal was 83 dollars.
 
Meanwhile, a number of coal importers from Afghanistan, referring to the Pakistan Customs Department in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, have said that the value of Afghan coal has increased significantly recently, so the customs tariffs on this product should also be increased.
 
This department has also been asked to continue the new change in the customs tax on Afghan coal temporarily until changes are made in the value of Afghan coal.
 
The price of each metric ton of Afghan coal is 280 dollars.
 
Pakistan announces an increase in customs taxes on Afghan coal, while hundreds of trucks carrying Afghan coal go to Pakistan every day.
