Conflicting reports of the attack of the Russian army on the positions of the Wagner group
The statement attributed to the head of the Wagner militia group claims that the group's forces were attacked by Russia.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): News sources report that the Wagner group claimed in a statement that Russian army forces attacked the group's positions. In these reports, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Wagner, is quoted as saying: "A missile attack was carried out on the positions of the Wagner group.

Prigozhin claimed that this attack was carried out from the rear lines, which shows that Russian army forces were responsible for it.

He also claimed: "We were ready to give concessions to the [Russian] Ministry of Defense, hand over our weapons and find a solution on how we can defend our country.

According to these unconfirmed reports, the head of Wagner Group promised to retaliate against Russia's action. "The evil that the Russian military leaders are causing must be stopped," he said.

Prigozhin claimed that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shaigu personally entered Rostov to carry out this operation to destroy Wagner.

The Kremlin Palace announced in a statement that Russian President Vladimir Putin is aware of the situation surrounding Wagner Group and necessary measures are being taken.

In a statement, the Russian Defense Ministry said Prigozhin's accusations were "untrue and a media sensation."

The ministry said that all the messages and video frames distributed by Yevgeny Prigozhin on social networks about the claim of "the attack of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the rear camps of PMC Wagner" do not correspond to reality and are an intelligence provocation.

Russia's Anti-Terrorism Committee also said in a statement that the FSB has opened a court case against Wagner's "incitement to armed rebellion". This committee said that it wants to stop the illegal actions as soon as possible.

It is worth noting; Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu recently ordered all volunteer and militia groups fighting for Russia in the Ukraine war to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense by the end of August.

This action of Shoigu was an attempt to reduce Prigozhin's authority and prevent his arbitrariness.

In response to this order, Prigogine announced that "Wagner will not sign any contract with Shoigu."

But soon Putin reacted and took the defense minister's side. Putin said that this order should be implemented by the deadline. After that, Prigozhin also criticized Putin.

I have to say; The Wagner group is a paramilitary group indirectly affiliated with the Russian army that participates in proxy wars by recruiting volunteers.
