Destruction of two thousand acres of agricultural land due to flood in Ghazni
The Department of Combating Natural Disasters of the Islamic Emirate in Ghazni announced that about 2,000 acres of agricultural land has been destroyed due to floods in some districts of this province.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Ghazni: The Directorate of Combating Natural Disasters of the Islamic Emirate in Ghazni today (Monday, July 24, 2023) published a newsletter saying that last night, the districts of Khaja Omari, Jagto, Waghz, Khogiani and Rashidan of this province witnessed heavy rain and flooding.
 
According to the information of this institution, at least 30 cattle were lost and 25 houses were destroyed as a result of these floods.
 
Meanwhile, the victims say that all their crops have been destroyed and they need immediate humanitarian aid.
 
It should be mentioned that parts of Ghazni have witnessed heavy floods for three days.
 
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Natural Disaster Management of the Islamic Emirate said on Sunday that as a result of floods in the provinces of Kabul, Maidan Wardak, Khost, Ghazni Paktia, Nangarhar, Nuristan and Kunar, in addition to the deaths of dozens of people, hundreds of acres of agricultural land and gardens were also destroyed.
 
On the other hand, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, asked the organs of the Islamic Emirate and aid institutions to deliver their aid to the people of the flood-affected area as soon as possible.
