Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Economic Vice-Chancellorship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said in a newsletter: During these meetings, which were held at the border customs of the two countries, regarding the development of trade and transit relations between Afghanistan and Iran and the elimination of the existing problems in this Straight, based on past agreements, it has been discussed.
It is stated in the newsletter that in these meetings, agreements were reached in the fields of increasing the activity of Islam Qala, Abu Nasr Farahi and Nimroz customs and three border customs on the Iranian side, from 8 hours to 16 hours, increasing the daily traffic of cargo vehicles from 550 to 1,200 vehicles. It has been done and in order to increase the export and import between the two countries, a number of fees have been canceled.
The news report adds that Iran and Afghanistan canceled the land fee of 104 dollars and 5,000 afghanis.
It has been said that the purpose of holding these meetings is to pursue and implement the agreements that were signed a while ago during Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund's visit to Iran.
It should be mentioned that during the official visit of the economic deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Iran, which took place with the aim of increasing the level of commercial exchanges and transit between the two countries, some agreements were signed and joint committees were appointed to follow them.
