The plight of 122 Afghan refugees in Brazil; These people hang out at the airport
Brazilian media say that at least 122 Afghan refugees who came to this country using humanitarian visas, after more than two years, are still hanging out at Guarolo Airport in Sao Paulo and are still waiting to receive shelter.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Brazilian news agency reported this issue on Monday, January 18, and wrote that this number of Afghan refugees are waiting to leave this airport and receive shelter.

Based on the information, food and health services are provided to these asylum seekers by the aid organizations.

The officials of this country have said that the considered shelters do not have the capacity to move more refugees.

Meanwhile, the authorities have added to this Brazilian media that two Afghan refugees have contracted the skin disease "Measles".

This is despite the fact that after the Islamic Emirate regained control over Afghanistan in August 2021, a number of Afghans fled to Brazil using humanitarian visas.

They want to enter America through this country.

There is no information about the total number of Afghan refugees living in Brazil.
