Representatives of Iran and Russia discussed Afghanistan
Kazem Jalali, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, met with Zamir Kabulov, the special representative of Russia for Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: In this meeting, which took place on Thursday 28th, the parties exchanged views and discussed about bilateral cooperation between Iran and Russia in various fields, Afghanistan, as well as developments in the West Asian region.
 
Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Minister has expressed hope that Iran and Pakistan's attacks on each other will not harm the diplomatic efforts regarding Afghanistan.
 
Sergey Lavrov said in a press conference on Thursday that the presence in Afghanistan and the relationship with the Islamic Emirate will help to make proposals for the Afghan people through the Moscow format. Russia, China, Pakistan and Iran include the Moscow format.
 
The Russian Foreign Minister admitted that Moscow has regular contacts with the Islamic Emirate to resolve issues and problems that prevent its recognition.
 
Emphasizing the formation of an inclusive government with the presence of all ethnic groups and political structures, Lavrov pointed out that Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah remain in Kabul and said that he advises the Islamic Emirate to invite other political forces to the ruling structure.
