The Japanese spaceship landed on the moon!

Hitoshi Kuninaka, head of the Japan Space Agency's Space Science Institute, said space officials believe the probe's small rovers were launched as planned and the data returned to Earth.

 

However, a technical defect in the solar cells of this robot has left it with a lack of energy and the risk of shutting down.

 

Koninaka also confirmed that the probe's solar bottle is not generating energy and only has a few more hours of battery life left.

 

The priority now, he said, is for the spacecraft to gather as much information about its landing and the moon as possible.

 

Japan's space officials have said they need more time to analyze whether the smart probe to explore the moon achieved its mission priority of a precise landing.

 

If the Japanese probe is turned off, the officials of the Japan Space Agency will not immediately give up hope.

 

It is always possible that the solar panels are placed in such a way that the sunlight does not reach it.

 

Japanese space authorities have said that it is possible for the probe to be reactivated by changing the direction of light on the moon.

 

The probe was supposed to spend the next two weeks studying geology on the moon, but due to the malfunction, it is unclear how feasible this goal will be.

 

Earlier, the US, Russia and China were able to land spacecraft and probes on the moon's surface, but India is the first country to successfully land a spacecraft on the moon's south pole, a previously unexplored area.
