From the tension between Iran and Pakistan, Afghanistan suffers more than other countries

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The tension in the relations between Iran and Pakistan started after Iran's attack on two important headquarters of the Jaish al-Zalm terrorist group on the evening of Tuesday, 16th of January.

 

In response to that attack, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan announced in a statement on Thursday morning that it has carried out a series of precise and fully coordinated and targeted military attacks against terrorist hideouts in Iran's Sistan and Baluchistan province. This action was met with Iran's reaction and brought Pakistan's Chargé d'affaires in Tehran to Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

After Iran's missile attack on Wednesday, Pakistan recalled its ambassador to Iran and suspended all bilateral interactions with Tehran.

 

Noor Mohammad Babri, an expert on international relations, said in a conversation with AVA that if there is a conflict between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan, Afghanistan will suffer more than other countries in the region due to its long common border with these two countries and trade dependence. .

 

He added that the war between Afghanistan's neighbors leads to insecurity and the lack of peace in the region, especially Afghanistan, and continues to cause negative social and economic developments in the region.

 

This international relations expert emphasized that Afghanistan is a country with cultural and ethnic diversity shared with Iran and Pakistan, which may become a stage for cultural and ethnic conflicts in the event of a war between neighboring countries.

 

Mr. Babri said that the Islamic Emirate has been neutral in its foreign policy by maintaining its national interests and should remain neutral in the tension between Iran and Pakistan, adding that the leaders of the Islamic Emirate during the past two years, by maintaining a policy of neutrality between the countries The region has been able to attract the support of these countries.

 

At the same time, Mohammad Baqer Rezaei, a university professor, also told AVA that Afghanistan is in the heart of the region from a geographical point of view. It borders Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, and for that reason, it is exposed to the direct effects of wars and tensions in the region.

 

He said that a new system has recently been implemented in Afghanistan. Political and economic problems have not been solved yet. Accordingly, it is more vulnerable to external influences than regional governments.

 

Mr. Rezaei pointed out: Asian countries are united in such a way that if there is a conflict between two countries in this region, all Asian countries will suffer, especially countries whose economic situation is not good.

 

It should be remembered that the Pakistani media reported last night that the government of this country has decided to end the conflict with the Islamic Republic of Iran and resume full diplomatic relations with its neighbor.
