Afghanistan will host a meeting of special representatives of some neighboring countries tomorrow
Pakistani media have reported, quoting the officials of the caretaker government of Afghanistan, that Kabul will host a meeting of special representatives of some neighboring countries.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Pakistan Daily has reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate is hosting a meeting of special representatives of some neighboring countries on Monday (January 28).

According to the report of this Pakistani media, the representatives of some countries are examining the ways to "strengthen interaction with the Islamic Emirate" in this meeting.

While this is the first meeting of the "contact group" in Kabul; An Islamic Emirate official told Pakistan Daily that this meeting will be held with the presence of representatives of four countries.

According to this media, representatives of Pakistan, Iran, China and Russia will attend this meeting.

This official of the Islamic Emirate said about the non-participation of representatives of other countries in this meeting that they hope that the number of participants will increase in the next meetings.

Amir Khan Muttqi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate recently met with a number of representatives of countries in Kabul. Mr. Muttaqi said in this meeting that with the presence of UNAMA in Kabul, there is no need to appoint a new representative of the United Nations in Afghanistan.

It is worth mentioning that Iran presented the plan for the formation of a regional contact group at the last meeting of the Moscow format in the month.

Earlier, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran's representative in Afghanistan affairs, said in a meeting with Pakistan's foreign minister that the contact group is going to present a "package of constructive proposals" to the Islamic Emirate.

Iran's special representative said: "The contact group and its agenda can be expanded and can address the concerns of Afghanistan's neighbors, regional countries, and the international community about Afghanistan in the form of a specific agenda with a logical timeline, step by step."

It should be noted that a few days ago, an Iranian Foreign Ministry official announced that the Taliban will host a "noteworthy" regional meeting next week.
