Fahim Anwari, the only swimming representative of Afghanistan in the World Aquatics Championship in Doha, Qatar, strengthened the national swimming record of Afghanistan.

Also, Anwari competed with his competitors in the 100-meter breaststroke, where he finished third among eight competitors, but he strengthened the national record of Afghan swimming in this section.
 
Fahim Anwari, who covered this distance in "one minute and eleven seconds and thirteen hundredths of a second" in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, this time covered it in "one minute and ten seconds and eighty six hundredths of a second" and 27 hundredths of a second. It broke the previous record of Afghanistan's national swimming, which he had set himself.
 
This prominent Afghan swimmer, who also participated in the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, is one of the important options for Afghanistan's sports to participate in the Paris Olympic Games.
 
One of the conditions for Fahim Anuri's participation in the upcoming Olympic Games is to break Afghanistan's national swimming records, which Anuri has managed to do, and it is likely that he will get a quota to participate in the Paris Olympic Games.
 
Rubin, the German coach of Fahim Anuri, in a conversation with Radio Azadi in Doha, Qatar, said that he has been working with Fahim since September 2023, and before that, he trained alone for a long time without a coach.
 
This coach added that after several months of effort, they got the reward of their efforts in the World Water Sports Championship in Doha, this competition is considered the biggest sports event for swimmers in the world after the Olympic Games, and Fahim broke the national record of Afghanistan in breaststroke. He showed satisfactory performance and his coach seems satisfied with him.
 
This German coach hopes that this Afghan swimmer will be able to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games and reach the peak of preparation in that event.
