Donald Trump
An American judge postponed the trial of Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, who is accused of sexual assault and paying the right to remain silent, for 30 days so that his lawyers can review the new evidence.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Donald Trump, who will be the Republican candidate in the upcoming US presidential elections, is on criminal trial in New York state on charges of paying hush money to an immoral movie actor.

American judge Juan Manuel Merchan wrote in the court document: The trial in this case was postponed for 30 days from the date of this letter (Friday) "with the consent of the people".

According to Sputnik, this judge wrote: If necessary, the court will set a new trial date when it decides on the defendant's request after the hearing.

The trial was supposed to start on March 25, but now it will start in mid-April. This is one of four criminal cases related to Trump that the Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential election is facing.

The judge's decision to push back the trial date came after Trump's attorneys and Manhattan prosecutors asked for more time to review new documents related to Stormy Daniels' hush money case.

The documents were released by federal prosecutors who conducted a similar investigation in 2018.

Trump's lawyers had asked the court for 90 days. The prosecutor of the case had asked for 30 days and the judge agreed to the prosecutor's request.

In its indictment, the Manhattan Prosecutor's Office has leveled 34 charges against Donald Trump. These charges are related to the payment of silence fees during the 2016 election campaign.

Donald Trump has rejected these accusations and considers them political.
