Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Mullah Abdul Razaq Rashid, the police commander of Balkh province, while attending the Chamtal district of this province and starting the campaign to destroy poppy and hashish fields, said that the operation or the campaign to destroy the poppy fields in Chamtal district has been started until the fields inside the forts.
He added: "The decree of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate government regarding the banning of poppy and weed cultivation is implemented and implemented with seriousness, therefore the police forces and other departments are working day and night to better carry out the operation or the campaign to destroy the poppy fields."
Mullah Rashid stated that more than 200 acres of poppy cultivation in Balkh province were destroyed and a warning was issued to all farmers to prohibit poppy cultivation.
