Algeria resubmits the full membership file of Palestine to the Security Council
In reaction to the veto of the draft of Palestine's full membership in the United Nations by the United States, Algeria says that it will resubmit the Palestinian membership file to the Security Council.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to Egypt's Al-Sharooq base, Ammar bin Jame, Algeria's ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, said: We will once again return to the UN Security Council with a stronger voice and with the support of the overwhelming majority of the General Assembly.

Ammar bin Jame also said in the organization: I hope that the countries that could not accept Palestine's full membership in the United Nations today will be able to vote for it when the draft of this resolution is resubmitted to the Security Council.

The Algerian ambassador emphasized: Algeria's efforts will not stop until the full membership of Palestine in the United Nations.

Ammar bin Jame added: Last night's meeting of the Security Council is just one step in the process of Palestine's full membership in the United Nations.

After the American veto against this draft, the Algerian ambassador, on behalf of the Arab, Muslim countries and the Non-Aligned Movement, praised all the countries that voted in favor of this draft.

Bin Jame added: The overwhelming approval of Palestine's full membership in the United Nations conveys the clear message that Palestine deserves to achieve this rightful place among the member states of the United Nations.

According to IRNA, America vetoed the resolution of Palestine's full membership in the United Nations in the Security Council vote on Friday morning. 12 of the 15 members of the Security Council voted in favor of this resolution, while England and Switzerland abstained.

The country of Algeria had submitted the draft resolution of Palestine's full membership in the United Nations to the United Nations Security Council and demanded that it be presented at the meeting of this council on Thursday, but the country of Malta, which is the rotating president of the Security Council this month (April), first announced He said that the Security Council will make a decision about this on Friday evening local time, but finally this meeting was held on Thursday evening local time.

The approval of a resolution in the UN Security Council requires that at least 9 positive votes be obtained without opposition or the veto of the five permanent members of the Security Council, namely the United States, England, Russia, France and China.

Before, informed sources had announced that this resolution has the support of 13 members of the Security Council, but probably the United States, one of the main members of the Security Council and the permanent supporter of Israel (regime), will oppose it and veto it.

The US State Department announced on Thursday local time that Washington will not vote positively for this resolution.

Palestine is now a permanent observer at the United Nations. In 2011, Palestine applied for permanent membership in the United Nations, but later decided to remain as a permanent observer for some time.

In April, Palestine sent a letter to the UN Security Council requesting that it reconsider joining the UN as a permanent member.

Countries with this status can participate in most meetings and have access to almost all relevant documents, but do not have the right to vote. Except for Palestine, the Vatican also has permanent observer status in the United Nations.

Countries are admitted to this international organization by the decision of the UN General Assembly based on the recommendation of the Security Council.
