21 militants killed, 9 injured in Afghan military operations
Afghan Interior Ministry officials following a press release on Wednesday announced at least 30 Taliban militants were killed or injured following Taliban-Sweeping military operations during the past 24 hours considered as an achievement for Afghan army.

The source further added Afghan police forces conducted 10 military operations in cooperation with the Afghan army, Afghan intelligence and coalition security forces at Kabul, Nangarhar, Faryab, Helmand, Uruzgan, Logar, Ghazni, Paktika and Paktia proivnces of Afghanistan.

According to Afghan Interior Ministry, at least 21 militants were killed and 9 others were injured following the operations.

Interior Ministry officials following the statement also added Afghan security forces seized some weapons, ammunitions and explosives during the operations.

In the meantime local security officials in southern Kandahar province announced at least 3 suspected militants were killed in this province while they were planting explosives inside a motorcycle.

Provincial security chief Gen. Rahmatullah Atrafi said the incident took place late Tuesday evening at the 5th district of southern Kandahar city.

Anti-government armed militant groups yet to comment regarding the reports.
