Uzbek Forces to Use Drones while patrolling Afghanistan border
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited one of the platoons of security guards in the ‘Surkhandarya region’.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, During the visit of the President of Uzbekistan, Shaukat Mirziyoyev, to Surkhandarya, the border region with Afghanistan, the country’s security forces emphasized the importance of using drones to monitor the border areas.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Monday visited a military base of Uzbekistan security guards in Termez, near the Afghanistan border, Uzbekistan Daily reported. During the visit, President Mirziyoyev also evaluated the capabilities of Uzbek forces to use drones while patrolling the border areas between the two countries.
The idea of using drones to monitor the border areas with Afghanistan by Uzbek security forces is due to the security threats they face from fundamentalists and their entry to Uzbekistan. The news daily also highlighted the country’s combat capabilities.
