16 Historical Sites Discovered in Northern Afghanistan
Sixteen historical sites were discovered by archaeologists of the Ministry of Information and Culture in Burka district.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Afghan archaeologists say that the history of the fifteen discovered sites dates back to the Sassanid and Kushanid, pre-Islamic periods, and the sixteenth historical site, which is a hill, belongs to Amir Abdul Rahman Khan time, a statement said received by Bakhtar News Agency.
 
These historical sites have recently been discovered in the course of excavations by archaeologists of the Ministry of Information and Culture in Burka district, the statement added.
 
The archaeologists of the Ministry of Information and Culture will continue exploring the discovered areas to find out more about the history of the place and the dept of Information and Culture will strive for the preservation, said an official.
