Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in a joint press conference with Iran's Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian that the borders of the two countries should become a symbol of stability and peace. He also added that regarding the issues of Afghanistan, both of them are interested in peace and stability and the livelihood and welfare of the Afghan people.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari explained the consultations held at noon yesterday (Thursday, August 3), after meeting and talking with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in Islamabad.
 
Pakistan's foreign minister said: "During the past few days, especially today, we had many proposals on how to strengthen our relations in the fields of economy and energy. Today, my colleague (Abdollahian) and I signed important documents, the most important of which is the strategic business plan between the two countries for the period of 2023 and 2028. We want to achieve our own goal, which is to increase the level of trade exchanges to five billion dollars, after this five-year period, as well as the free trade agreement and the agreements we had for cooperation and more interactions between the private sectors. In addition, other documents were signed, including the document of the joint meeting of the investment commission of the two countries was signed during this trip.
 
This high-ranking Pakistani diplomat noted: I hope we will achieve good progress as a result of these documents. As a result of various discussions in these few days between the teams of the two countries and today's talks with my counterpart, we reached an agreement on various issues. We had very good consultations not only about bilateral relations, but also about regional and international developments.
 
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said: We are witnessing a very good convergence between Iran and Pakistan on bilateral issues, and Iran and Pakistan are of the opinion that peace and stability in the region will benefit the entire region.
 
He stated that Pakistan is strongly looking for regional integration and added: We are looking for more integration and integration in the region and this is completely consistent with the motto and policy of the Iranian president who gives priorities to the neighbors and we hope Based on these policies, we will see the opening of five more border bazaars by the end of this year due to the strategic position of Iran and Pakistan in South, Central and West Asia.
 
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan continued: We believe that the ECO Economic Cooperation Organization can play a key role in this field, and as the founders of this organization, we are ready to cooperate more with other members in order to further convergence in the region.
 
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also said: In today's talks, we thanked Iran and its leaders for their support to Kashmir, which is occupied by India. Iran has always supported Kashmiri Muslims. We talked about the issues of Afghanistan and it was decided that Iran and Pakistan will continue their cooperation and interaction and both of them want peace and stability in this country and improving the livelihood and welfare of the people of Afghanistan. We also talked about cooperation to deal with Islamophobia and hatred that has been created.
 
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan stated: I am happy that during this period I was able to play a role in the friendly relations between Iran and Pakistan, whose relations are as old as the history of mankind.
