Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says the Israeli regime’s assassination of key figures of the resistance movement Hamas would not undermine Palestine’s fight to free itself from occupation and oppression.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Monitoring: In a message to the Head of Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, on Tuesday, Amir-Abdollahian offered his condolences on the recent martyrdom of acting Palestinian Parliament Speaker Ahmad Bahar in an Israeli attack on Gaza and said that the assassination will further expose the ugly face of the Israeli regime.
“As it has been proven in the past, the absence of such great men would not dent the resolve of the Palestinian people, but would even make the resilient and oppressed nation more determined to continue their path toward the liberation of their homeland,” he said in the message.
The top Iranian diplomat described Bahar as a “revolutionary politician and an indefatigable warrior” and said that his assassination would accelerate the collapse of the Israeli regime.
Hamas on November 18 confirmed the martyrdom of Bahar, 76, who was a member of the group’s political bureau and had served as deputy speaker and acting speaker of the Palestinian parliament.
Unconfirmed reports have suggested that he had been injured in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza early last week.
More than 14,000 people have been massacred in Israel’s brutal military campaign against Gaza since October 7 when the regime launched aggression against the territory in response to a Hamas operation on the same day which killed some 1,200 Israeli settlers and military forces./Pars Today
