The Supreme Court of Pakistan decides on the petition to cancel the deportation of Afghan immigrants
Pakistani media have reported that the Supreme Court of this country will decide this week on the petition to cancel the deportation of Afghan immigrants from this country.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to Dan newspaper, this petition was prepared by a number of Pakistani senators and human rights activists.
 
They have asked the court to stop the interim government of this country from arresting, deporting and persecuting the holders of residency cards, Afghan citizenship cards, and asylum seekers from the United Nations.
 
They also asked the court to stop the detention, deportation and persecution of those born in Pakistan and to allow the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to decide on asylum applications.
 
It has been said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan is going to announce its decision on this matter on Friday (November 25).
 
Pakistan started deporting illegal Afghan immigrants about three weeks ago. The Minister of Information of Balochistan said on Friday that 400,000 Afghan refugees have returned to their country so far.
