Quoting from the West; This meeting was held in the presence of the representatives of the General Directorate of Affairs, the Ministries of Public Works, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Urban Development and Housing, Finance and Kabul Municipality.
Ehsanullah Fitrat, the head of export affairs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in a speech emphasizing that the creation of this zone is an important step towards economic progress, added: export processing zones in the country provide the basis for standard packaging, processing and transfer of commercial goods. makes, while in the absence of such facilities, Afghanistan loses about four billion dollars annually.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Industry and Trade, taking into account the requirements, has arranged and presented to the leadership of the Islamic Emirate the plan to create export processing zones in six provinces of the country, considering 100 acres of land for each zone, which has been approved.
It has been said that these zones are supposed to be established in the provinces of Kabul, Kandahar, Herat, Nangarhar, Balkh and Paktia, which will provide job opportunities for 20 thousand people in each zone.
He also added that the process of transfer of land for export processing zone has started in Kabul province and the work on transfer of land in other zones is going on.
