The head of UNAMA met with the Acting Minister of Interior and discussed the problems of refugees returning from Pakistan
Roza Otunbayeva, the special representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Afghanistan, in a meeting with the Acting Minister of Interior, Sirajuddin Haqqani, said that the deportation of Afghan immigrants from neighboring countries has caused many problems for the immigrants.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Yesterday, the ministry wrote on X social network that Ms. Otunbayeva made these statements in a meeting with Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Interior in Kabul.

According to this ministry, Mrs. Otunbayeva said that the international community is carefully examining the return process of these migrants.

These statements are made while the European Union delegation for Afghanistan announced on Saturday additional financial aid worth 11 billion Afghanis to the returning migrants and the victims of the Herat earthquakes.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees told Radio Azadi that undocumented Afghans are deported from Pakistan in a very bad situation, where they have neither shelter nor work opportunities.

It is said that more than 400,000 immigrants have returned to the country from Pakistan.
