In a step to create tension in the region, the United States announced the addition of a number of American sailors and soldiers to its fifth fleet in Bahrain.

The headquarters of the US Navy announced in a statement that this exercise will be conducted in the southern waters of Iran, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, the Sea of Oman, the Indian Ocean and the coastal areas of East Africa.
