The explosion of a rocket left over from the war in Kandahar; Five children were killed and injured
Local government officials in Kandahar province say that three children died and two others were seriously injured after a rocket left over from the war exploded in the famous district of this province.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: One of the local officials of the Islamic Emirate in Kandahar said that the explosion occurred (Tuesday, April 23) in the village of Shakhki in Marouf district when a group of children were playing with rocket.

According to him, three children died and two others were injured in this incident. The source said that two of the dead and wounded were brothers and the other child is their uncle's son.

The source said that the injured in this incident have been transferred to Mirwais Hospital in Kandahar.

Every now and then, the explosion of this type of ammunition takes victims of the country's citizens, especially children.

In most cases, children pick up bullets and other munitions of war as shrapnel, but this ends up being fatal.

Due to several decades of war, the lands of Afghanistan are contaminated with mines and ammunition left over from the war.

According to the United Nations, three million people in Afghanistan live within a kilometer radius of mines, improvised explosive devices and remnants of explosives left over from the war.
