Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate announced the visit of the officials of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to Kabul last week. The ministry said that the officials of these two countries have arrived in Kabul to participate in the tripartite meeting on the development of trade and transit between Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
 
Meanwhile, Mohammad Shabir Bashiri, a university professor and an expert on economic issues, said in an interview with Ava reporter that these visits should lead to the expansion of bilateral trade between Afghanistan and neighboring countries and the region.
 
He expressed his hope that the transportation and transit issues of Afghanistan, which are of strategic importance for the country's economy and trade, will be the focus of these trips.
 
This expert on economic issues stated that Afghanistan, as a landlocked country, needs to expand relations with neighboring countries and the region, adding that bilateral trade should increase after these trips.
 
According to him, the visits of officials of Central Asian countries to Afghanistan have many mutual economic advantages.
 
Bashiri said that Afghanistan can be the connecting point of Central Asia to South Asia and this is a good advantage for the neighboring countries and the region.
 
On the other hand, Abdul Sadiq Jovindeh, another expert on economic issues, said in a conversation with Ava reporter that trade exchanges between Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan are beneficial to all three parties.
 
According to him, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan have a strategic position from the point of view of trade and transit development, and the export of marble, iron ore, cement and other minerals to the three Central Asian countries is very beneficial.
 
The seeker considered the increase in trade between Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, the establishment of a large joint logistics center in Turghandi, the development of Afghanistan's railway, facilitating the transfer of oil and gas from Turkmenistan to the country and vice versa as the main areas for increasing exports and investment in Afghanistan.
 
Stating that Afghanistan is of great importance from the perspective of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, he added that the facilitation of transit and trade routes between these three countries has a positive effect on the improvement of Afghanistan's economic situation.
 
Mr. Jovande said the important achievements of the visit of the officials of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan to the country are the increase in investment attraction, the provision of banking facilities for the merchants of the country, reduction in the cost of transporting goods and other facilities.
 
According to him, other important achievements for Afghanistan are the TAPI project, the development of the railway line and the transfer of oil and gas, and the country's investors can have better business relations with the countries of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in the mentioned projects.
 
This university professor asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to provide investment opportunities for domestic and foreign businessmen in order to support investors.
 
He considered the current situation in Afghanistan as the best investment opportunity and called the creation of industrial parks, reduction in taxes, making land available to investors, etc. among the main support programs of the Islamic Emirate for businessmen and investors.
 
According to the applicant, Afghanistan is a good commercial corridor for the Middle East countries and the interest of investing in Afghanistan can have a positive effect on the country's economic situation.
 
He expressed his hope that the expansion of relations with the countries of the region will lead to the creation of trade routes between Afghanistan and the Middle East: "Our hope is to be able to transfer the goods of Afghan traders to the countries of the Middle East, which used to take months, now in two or three days. to give."
 
According to this expert on economic issues, the expansion of Afghanistan's trade and economic relations with Central Asian countries will add billions of dollars to the country's budget and the late arrival of goods into the country will decrease.

He added that the Ministry of Industry and Trade has held a tripartite meeting with the authorities of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan regarding transit, trade and investment facilities in Afghanistan.
