Bashar Assad will visit China in the near future
Syrian diplomatic sources announced the imminent visit of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to China in the near future.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Diplomatic sources told Al-Akhbar that it is likely that a high-ranking Syrian delegation will travel to China soon to hold high-level meetings with Chinese officials and discuss the development of bilateral relations and China's role in helping to this country to discuss.

Syrian diplomatic officials noted that the visit would be "very important" and that Bashar al-Assad would meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in an official ceremony.

After Beijing's role in the reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Iran this spring, the visit of the Syrian president will be a strategic turning point in the path of relations between Syria and China and another curtain on China's role in the region. This trip is primarily political and emphasizes China's desire to establish the legitimacy of the Syrian government and its president at the international level, despite the efforts of the Americans to create an obstacle in the path of Arab-Syrian reconciliation and to deprive the Syrian government of investment.

The meeting also seems to confirm China's desire to expand its role and presence in West Asia and send a message to the US administration that it ignores the West's concerns despite its strong positions in the Security Council on Syria.
