The meeting of the economic delegation of Iran with the leadership of the ministries of the Islamic Emirate discussed the facilitation of trade exchanges
Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the ambassador and special representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan affairs, announced the meeting of the economic delegation of Iran with the leadership of the Ministries of Economy, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Livestock of the Islamic Emirate and said that in this meeting they focused on facilitating trade exchanges and increasing the balance Economic discussions have been held according to the vast capacities of the two countries.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the ambassador and special representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan today (Wednesday, October 11, 2023) published an article on his X social network and wrote: "Together with a group of Iranian businessmen to investigate and the feasibility of investment and development of trade between Iran and Afghanistan, we were the guests of the ministers of trade, agriculture, economy, mines and the heads of the railway administration and the chambers of commerce and agriculture of Afghanistan.
 
According to Hasan Kazemi Qomi, "good understandings regarding the maintenance and operation of Khaf-Herat railway have been reached in this meeting".
 
Iran's special representative for Afghanistan added that talks were held regarding the facilitation of trade exchanges and the increase of the economic balance in view of the vast capacities of the two countries as well as the interests of the parties.
 
Previously, the Afghan delegation at the "Joint Meeting of Iran-Afghanistan Economic Delegation" in Kabul, emphasizing the sharing of Iran's experiences with Afghanistan in the field of economic development, demanded the special investment of Iranian businessmen in the field of Afghanistan's electricity supply.
 
In this meeting, the Iranian side called Chabahar port an important transit route for Afghanistan's access to open waters and said that Iran's economic policy towards Afghanistan is to remove some of the laws restricting trade.
 
It should be noted that an 85-member economic delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Yaqub Ali Nazari, the governor of Khorasan Razavi province, along with a number of businessmen and investors from that country, arrived in Kabul on Sunday (October 8, 2023) for the purpose of examining investment opportunities in Afghanistan.
