The remaining work of Herat
The Economic deputy of the Prime Minister's Office has announced the start of the remaining work of Herat's Pashdan dam project and says that at the opening of this ceremony Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar said that the Islamic Emirate has a strong will to manage natural resources along with other areas for self-sufficiency, social and economic development of Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: The opening ceremony of the Pashdan dam project in Herat was held in the presence of the economic deputy of the ministry, the minister of energy and water, the governor of Herat, religious scholars, national businessmen, capitalists and a number of local officials.
 
The economic deputy of the Prime Minister's Office considered the damage caused by the occupation, war, political and economic instability and climate changes in the last two decades as factors that have faced many social and economic problems in Afghanistan.
 
Mullah Baradar added that the Islamic Emirate has a strong will to manage natural resources along with other areas for self-sufficiency, social and economic development of the country.
 
According to him, it has provided a good investment ground for domestic and foreign investors in this sector.
 
Mullah Abdul Ghani, Akhand's brother, said that the Islamic Emirate has evaluated all the dams in the country whose work remains.
 
The Economic Vice President of the Prime Minister's Office added that comprehensive work plans have been made to complete the remaining works of the mentioned sections, based on which the practical works of many sections have been started, one of these sections is Pashdan, whose practical work has started today.
 
The economic deputy of the Prime Minister's Office called the Pashdan dam project important and vital for Herat province and assured the people of Herat that the Islamic Emirate is committed to the completion of this project and will try to complete the work of this project on time and with good quality.
 
On the other hand, Sheikh Noor Ahmad Islamjar, the governor of Herat called the restart of the Pashdan dam a revolution in the economic development of Afghanistan.
 
The governor of Herat also requested more attention from the leadership of the Islamic Emirate in speeding up the work of other projects in the western region, including the Bakhshabad dam of Farah.
 
It should be mentioned that with the completion of the Pashdan dam project, there will be a favorable working environment for thousands of tons directly and indirectly, and around 54 million cubic meters of water will be stored, 13 thousand hectares of irrigated land and two megawatts of electricity will be produced.
