The foreign ministers of Jordan and the United States stressed the need to reach an immediate ceasefire agreement, release the hostages and prevent the spread of the conflict in Gaza during a phone call this morning (Wednesday).
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan announced the phone call of the Foreign Minister of this country, Ayman Safadi, with his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken, this Wednesday morning.

The ministry said in a statement: "In a call with Blinken, al-Safadi discussed efforts to stop the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and Israel's attack on Rafah."

According to "Al Jazeera" network, it is stated in this statement: "Al-Safadi and Blinken discussed the efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire, release the hostages and prevent the spread of war in the region."

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry said that the US Secretary of State strongly condemned the attack by Zionist settlers on the Jordanian aid convoy and preventing it from entering Gaza.

The statement adds: "Blinken reiterated that his country expects the Israeli government to take measures to prevent these attacks and hold the perpetrators accountable."

Earlier, King Abdullah al-Thani bin Al-Hussein had warned about the control of the Zionist regime on the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing on the Egyptian border.
