Afghanistan Arg palace says the final list of participants for the intra-Afghan Peace Talks is near to be finalized.

“This list is comprehensive and acceptable to everyone. This list will include representatives of government, parties, civil society and the National Assembly. The number will be announced later,” Mina Pal said.
Previously, the National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib has declared that the decisions about the China’s summit will be made after the announcement of Afghanistan Presidential elections’ primary result.
This comes as last night President Ghani in a phone call with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi talked about intra-Afghan talks.
According to the Presidential Palace statement, the two sides discussed also presidential election, Afghan peace process and state-to-state cooperation.
“President Ghani said that peace process should be advanced at the centrality of the Afghan government and people and relations between Afghanistan and china are based on the principle of state-to-state centrality,” the statement reads.
President’s spokesman, Sediq Sediqi in a press conference in Kabul has said that the Kabul government will send an inclusive team of negotiators to Beijing to engage in talks with the Taliban insurgents and discussions with various stakeholders on the formation of the team are underway.
”This team can then represent and defend Afghanistan, democracy and all those hard-earned and defended values,” said Sediqqi.
The Taliban who almost clinched a landmark peace deal with the U.S. after nine months of marathon negotiations mainly in Qatar’s capital Doha before President Donald Trump canceled the talks on Sep. 7 over the insurgents’ string of deadly attacks in Afghanistan has already accepted the Chinese invitation and nominated a team for the conference to be headed by their deputy leader, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.
They are yet to acknowledge and hold talks with the Afghan government.
Government sources stated that this crucial meeting is on hold until the already delayed outcome of landmark presidential polls is announced in Afghanistan.
