Putin: Russia's goal is to end the war in Ukraine

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday (August 23), at the meeting of the BRICS leaders via video conference: The aim of the Russian military operation is to end the war in Ukraine.
 
Putin pointed out: Our actions in Ukraine have only one reason, and that is to end the war that the West and their satellites have waged in Ukraine against the people of Donbass.
 
Putin added: The desire of a number of Western countries to maintain their hegemony in the world is a factor that has led to the severe crisis in Ukraine.
 
Recalling the fact that the leaders of Ukraine first launched an illegal coup in this country with the help of Western countries, the Russian president emphasized: they started a brutal and destructive war against people who did not agree with that coup, which lasted for 8 years.
 
The war in Ukraine and the sending of weapons by Western countries to Kiev continues.
 
European and Western countries, especially America, by intensifying the pressure of sanctions against the Russian Federation and supplying all kinds of light and heavy weapons to Kiev, not only did not take a step towards ending the war in Ukraine, but also fueled the fire of conflicts in this country.
