Ambassador-at-large of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan Talgat Kaliyev has been appointed as Special Representative of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan, Akorda reported.

Kazakhstan will soon appoint a special representative for Afghanistan, said President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during a meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on the sidelines of the 56th Munich Security Conference on Saturday.
