Asif Ali Zardari became the president of Pakistan again
Asif Ali Zardari, the leader of the Pakistan People's Party, was elected as the 14th president of Pakistan with 411 votes of parliamentarians.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Asif Ali Zardari, the leader of the Pakistan People's Party and husband of the late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, for the second time with 411 votes defeated his rival MP Mahmood Khan Achakzai from the "Tehrik Insaf" party with 181 votes. Kurd and was elected as the 14th president of Pakistan.

The election to determine the President of Pakistan was held this morning among the representatives of the state assemblies and the National Assembly of Pakistan.

Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif, the brother of Nawaz Sharif, an ally of the Pakistan People's Party, was elected as the prime minister.
